Restaurant textiles: napkins and stain-repellent tablecloths

Choose restaurant textiles as a coordinated system: table settings, table dimensions and laundry rotation should support one another. A cloth napkin adds texture and structure, while a suitable tablecloth completes the room. A stain-repellent tablecloth can make everyday stain handling easier when the material and care routine suit your operation.

White cotton napkins are available in the Sisustus1 online shop. For project orders, we also help select stain-repellent tablecloths, other cloth napkins and table textiles. Dimensions, colours, quantities and availability are discussed as part of your quotation.

White cotton napkins as a starting point

Our Luxus cotton napkins, pack of 10, measure approximately 53 × 53 cm and are made from 100% cotton. Manufactured in Germany, they have a woven Atlaskante border, two hemmed sides and two selvedge edges. The generous size suits a simple fold as well as a more formal setting.

The stated care instructions are a 60–90°C wash for whites and ironing while damp. Discuss the selected laundry process with your laundry service before placing a larger order. Consistent colour, size and finishing help keep the whole dining room coordinated.

How does a stain-repellent tablecloth work?

The treated polyester tablecloths in the project range help liquids form droplets on the surface. A small fresh mark can often be removed with a damp cloth, so a minor spill may not require changing the entire tablecloth. Act promptly and always follow the material’s care instructions.

A repellent surface helps liquid form a droplet. Remove spills promptly following the care instructions.

For this tablecloth group, stain repellency is a permanent feature and does not require re-treatment. The stated washing temperature is 40–60°C, with ironing or mangling at 110°C. These instructions apply to this particular material group, not automatically to every tablecloth. Confirm the chosen product and laundry process before ordering.

Stain-repellent does not mean stain-proof or wash-free. Use, the type of stain and prompt cleaning affect the result. Assess the benefit through a trial in your own operation: how frequently is the cloth changed, how is it finished and how much handling time does it need? One universal saving percentage would not describe every restaurant.

Other napkins and materials for your concept

Alongside white cotton, project options include linen, linen blends, linen-look cotton and 100% Spunn polyester. Colours, patterns and textures vary. Examples of napkin sizes in the range are 50 × 50, 53 × 53 and 56 × 56 cm; the suitable option and its availability are confirmed for the order.

Linen’s relaxed texture suits a natural setting, while a smooth, carefully finished cotton napkin supports a classic table. Polyester can be a sensible professional choice when its properties match the laundry process and desired appearance. Choose by construction, finish and care as well as fibre name.

Measure the tablecloth rather than guessing

Measure the tabletop and decide the required drop. For a rectangular cloth, add twice the desired drop to the table’s length and do the same for its width. Consider circulation space, chair use and whether the setting is for everyday lunch or a formal event.

Tablecloths come in different weaves and colours, and sizing can be planned for the project. An undercloth can help reduce movement and the sound of tableware. Runners and placemats offer another approach when you want part of the tabletop to remain visible.

Plan the linen rotation before ordering

  • Count the seats and tables that need setting at the same time.
  • Estimate daily changes and the quantity in washing or transport.
  • Allow separate spare and replacement pieces.
  • Confirm washing, drying, mangling and potential shrinkage with the laundry.
  • Review a sample under the restaurant’s lighting alongside its tableware and surfaces.

Frequently asked questions about restaurant textiles

Can a stain-repellent tablecloth be washed?

Yes. The polyester group discussed here has a stated washing temperature of 40–60°C. Always follow the selected product’s own instructions.

Are colours other than white available for napkins?

Yes. The project range includes different materials, colours and patterns. Ask for options based on your concept and laundry process.

How many napkins do we need?

The quantity depends on seating, replacement frequency and laundry rotation. The number of seats alone is insufficient when some linen is constantly being washed.

How do we request a tablecloth quotation?

Send table measurements, the preferred drop, colour, quantity and laundry method to Sisustus1 business sales. We can then propose a combination suited to your daily operation.
